LEAKED!!.. INSIDE NUP’s ALLEGED SHARE OF SHS22.8 BILLIONS FROM IPOD FUNDS.

A Storm is brewing in Uganda’s political circles after that the National Unity Platform (NUP) allegedly received shs22.8 billions through inter-party organization for Dialogue (IPOD) and Electoral Commission allocations, despite not being a fully participant member of IPOD.

The revelation was revealed during a special radio talk show on CBS FM, Dr. Lawrence Sserwambala, the Executive Director of IPOD, openly discussed how political parties have been benefiting from government funding. He was joined by politicians, including Dr. Abed Bwanika, Erias Lukwago, and Moses Kasibante, among others.
Sserwambala explained that political parties represented in parliament are entitled to a share of shs45 billions to help run their activities without relying on foreign donors. However,he shocked listeners when he disclosed that NUP, led by Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, had already received up to 22.8 billions under the previous law, even before applying to join IPOD formally.
The disclosure left many NUP supporters stunned 🥹.

Callers on the show criticized their leaders for lack of transparency and demanded answers from NUP on how the funds were used.
Dr. Abed Bwanika used the opportunity to urge Bobi Wine to officially join IPOD and attend dialogue meetings with president Museveni together with other political leaders, Bwanika argued that this would allow NUP to influence important discussions like release of more funds ahead of 2026 general elections.
Meanwhile, President Museveni is considering paying shs10 billions in arrears to opposition parties like FDC, DP, UPC, and JEEMA, who reportedly missed out on funds in 2021. Each party could receive up to shs2 billions, possibly with interest.
